U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, a Republican from Alaska and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued a statement following the Senate's decision not to advance three pieces of legislation deemed anti-Israel. These resolutions, if approved, would have required the Department of Defense to stop certain arms and munitions sales to Israel. The Senate voted decisively against moving these resolutions forward from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The resolutions were introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent from Vermont. In his statement, Senator Sullivan expressed concern over what he perceives as rising anti-Semitism among some Senate Democrats. He stated: “As Israel fights for its very right to exist, some Senate Democrats are giving credence to dangerous anti-Semitism.”

Senator Sullivan also commented on the upcoming change in Senate leadership: “Rest assured, when Senate Republicans assume the majority in January, we will make clear to our friends and foes around the world that the United States once again stands proudly with Israel—our greatest ally in the Middle East—and against the Iranian terrorist regime and its terrorist proxies.”
