This month, Sandy Snodgrass with the AK Fentanyl Response Project is visiting Fairbanks to educate our community on the dangers of fentanyl and to provide information on fentanyl related legislation and the use of life-saving Naloxone Kits.
Her visit will include a community event held on Thursday, January 19, in Council Chambers at City Hall. This event is open to all members of the public interested in learning more about the fentanyl and illicit drug epidemic, "Bruce's Law", and receiving training on the use of Naloxone Kits.
Guests should be advised that the event will begin with a screening of the film documentary "Dead on Arrival", which may not be suitable for all audiences and features drug images and referencing, as well as first-hand testimony from family members of overdose victims.
