#AKSTORM22 #Update: We've begun initial assessments of our airports, roads, and buildings affected by the 2022 Typhoon and will continue to post known damaged infrastructure sites to this website: https://dot.alaska.gov/2022storms/
Know of other damaged infrastructure from Typhoon Merbok? Post your reports below, with location if possible. We will pass them along to our crews.
Here is how we are preparing to restore access to our communities in response to this storm:
We have dozens of heavy equipment operators ready for deployment to impacted areas to #KeepAlaskaMoving.
We are also working with private sector contractors to bring them into the emergency repair work as soon as the needs are identified.
Additionally, the Federal Aviation Administration has granted approval to utilize airport/AIP equipment off airport for direct response to disaster areas.

Today at 3:00 p.m., Governor Mike Dunleavy will hold a press conference with further response details.

Alaskans, we are proud of how everyone is working together to respond to this storm.
