2022 Stream Clean-up Day!

A huge THANK YOU to the over 45 volunteers who showed up for the 2022 Stream Clean-up Day! Volunteers included groups from Ft. Wainwright, Boy Scouts of America, Fairbanks Paddlers, and others! We were able to remove some large items (someone missing their hockey goal??) and over 900 pounds of garbage and debris from Noyes Slough and the Chena River.

Thank you also to the logistical support and donations from Tanana Valley Watershed Association, Shannon & Wilson, Inc., Alaska Dream Adventures, and longtime sponsor, Fairbanks Host Lions Club!

What a successful event in cleaning up our local waterways! We’ll see you all next year!
