Southeast Fairbanks Census Area recorded an unemployment rate of 9.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 299 people out of the 6,849 living in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area has decreased compared to the 10.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 2,720 people who had a job during that time, 123 were employed in the Armed Forces and 2,597 belonged to the civilian labor force.
