The Alaska 511 Route Planner will give you directions to your destination WITH road conditions and construction info, including expected delays and routes around closures. Go to 511.alaska.gov and enter your starting point and destination in the MY ROUTES box in the top left corner, then press the car icon for directions.
You likely won’t be able to avoid construction this summer, but you can be prepared for it!
