Do you have a worn or tattered US flag that is ready for retiring?
Thanks to @Midnight Sun Council, BSA Scout Mckinley Rhoades there are now a number of flag retirement boxes available to the public in Fairbanks and North Pole!
Rhoades used reclaimed wooden pallets to personally construct these boxes as his Eagle Scout project. He then reached out to local organizations to see if they would be willing to house one of the boxes and become a public flag retirement drop-off location. These boxes are now available at the American Legion, office of the City of North Pole, the local Scouting office, and here at City Hall in the main floor lobby.
Well done, Mckinley!
