The Denali Borough and Mayor Clay Walker would like to congratulate Baxter and Renee Mercer as the recipients of the 2023 Mayor's Community Service Award!
The Mercers were presented with this honor at the Winterfest Community Dinner and Bingo event on Saturday, February 25.
The CSA is awarded to community-nominated Denali Borough residents who have performed extraordinary volunteer service and exemplified the borough's strong and thriving sense of community. As Mayor Walker said in his award speech, the Mercers have created a lasting legacy by creating and maintaining Healy's Mountains of Fun Playground. In honor of their contributions to our community and receiving this award, the borough will install a bench dedicated to the Mercers at Mountains of Fun.
