#Sitka - The Katlian Bay Road reached a significant milestone this weekend as crews from each end of the project connected the headings! Road work continues, and when completed, this project will add 9 miles of new road connecting Sitkans to public lands in the Katlian River Valley. We want to recognize the tremendous effort of all those involved in this incredible undertaking: K&E Alaska Inc., Michael L. Foster & Associates, the US Forest Service, the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game; Peak Engineering, Shee Atika Inc., SeaLevel Consulting, Rock n Road construction, Advanced Blasting Services LLC, Aimone-Martin Associates, LLC., Superior Blasting & Vibration, IUOE Local 302, Sitka Tribe of Alaska and our DOT&PF team.
