Shout out to Fairbanks International Airport (FAI)! Last week the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) announced at their annual conference in Minneapolis that FAI was a recipient of their Environmental Achievement Award in the mitigation category. The award recognizes work to protect and preserve the environment through airport programs and policies. ACI-NA recognized FAI for their work addressing per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS) and its widespread applicability that evolved into a statewide program. Many thanks to that team for all your hard work!
