Fairbanks North Star Borough issued the following announcement on March 15.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough has been awarded an Alaska -*Department of Fish & Game Hunter Access grant through the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Program (Pittman-Robertson Act) to revitalize and improve the South Cushman Shooting Range.
The range will be closed for construction from approximately mid-May to Mid-August during the 2022 Summer season as improvements are made to expand capacity at the facility and improve safety and access for all shooters.
The project start date will be announced with advanced public notice.
