City of Delta Junction issued the following announcement on February 25.
Need help removing snow from rooftops or driveways, around homes, fuel tanks, or wood piles? Need firewood, groceries, or medicine delivered? Many neighbors are providing services to our elderly, free of charge. Others are for hire. Please do not risk your safety or others. Ask for help. Contact City Hall (895-4656) or reach out on Facebook: Delta / Greely Resource Bulletin Board, Delta Area News and Info / Alaska, and Connect Vet. Delta is full of people who want to help.
Woodcutters are backlogged in supplying firewood. Rely on other sources of heat if possible. If not, please let someone know you need help. Contact City Hall for a list of woodcutters.
