North Slope Borough ranked first in Alaska for resident earnings in 2018

North Slope Borough ranked first among counties in Alaska by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of North Slope Borough residents was $50,084 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 1,966 households with a population of 9,797.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Northwest Arctic Borough with $18,781 per year after adjusting for inflation – $31,303 less than North Slope Borough. It had 1,860 households with a population of 7,734.
