#Juneau – Due to a break in the weather (finally!) Secon will be working quickly to mill and pave on the Mendenhall Loop, Egan to Stephen Richards Resurfacing project. Here’s a rundown of work planned for this week:
• Secon will be milling during the day Wednesday, August 10, starting at 5am.
• Secon will be scheduling night work from Thursday, August 11, through Saturday, August 13, for paving of the project corridor.
• During night work, Secon will be operating a paver, roller, skid-steer, 10-yard, and 20-yard dump trucks from the Egan Drive/Mendenhall Loop intersection to Stephen Richards Drive between the hours of 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
• 2-hour Street closures are planned for Atlin Drive, Kodzoff Acres, and Cinema Drive during Thursday and Friday night.
• There will also be single and multi-lane shifts to accommodate these activities for a safe work zone. Please use caution when traveling in work zones. Watch for and follow directions from construction signs and flaggers when present throughout the construction zone.
• These activities are weather permitting and subject to change.
