Stewart Erhart, the former West Valley High School standout, took the court for Fort Lewis on Saturday, Feb. 28, during the Skyhawks’ 83-64 victory over the Colorado Christian Cougars.
The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard marked 17 points, six steals and four rebounds during his 31 minutes of play.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, the University of Alaska Fairbanks allocated $572,986 to women’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $262,734 below the state average of $835,720.
Men’s basketball teams from Fairbanks North Star Borough received $617,846 during the 2024 season, down 32.3% from the previous year.
Women’s basketball teams from Fairbanks North Star Borough received $572,986 during the 2024 season, down 23.9% from the previous year.
