The Alaska Nanooks rifle team has released its schedule for the 2025-26 season, which includes a mix of home and away matches as part of their Patriot Rifle Conference (PRC) and national competitions. The team will host seven events at E.F. Horton Rifle Range and Tanana Valley Sportsman Association.
The season kicks off in Fairbanks with a PRC match against Ohio State on October 17-18. The team will then travel to Colorado Springs on October 25-26 to compete against Air Force and TCU, with the latter taking place at the Olympic Training Center. In November, the Nanooks will head to the Southeast for matches against Ole Miss and UT Martin before participating in a multi-team event hosted by Army at West Point, facing Army on November 22 and both Army and Navy on November 23.
In January, Alaska returns home to face Nebraska (PRC) and Kentucky in two matches across Fairbanks facilities on January 17-18. They will then host TCU for a two-day PRC competition on January 24-25.
The PRC Championships are scheduled for February 6-7 in Oxford, Mississippi, hosted by Ole Miss for the first time since joining the conference. The regular season concludes with an NCAA Qualifier at home against UTEP on February 21, which also serves as Senior Day. The NCAA Rifle Championships are set for March 13-14, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.
Head coach Randi Loudin expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season: “We’re incredibly excited for the season ahead — both to welcome some strong programs to Alaska and to get back on the road.” She highlighted key events such as competing at the Olympic Training Center with TCU and hosting NCAA Qualifiers with UTEP. “This year’s schedule includes some exciting additions,” she added.
With a balanced schedule that includes home events, conference matchups, and cross-country competition, the Nanooks aim for national success and individual excellence in the upcoming season.
