Hey, #Fairbanks, happy spring equinox!  We’ve got our first construction season road closure coming up next week.  On Monday, March 27th we’ll begin the process of tearing down the old Aurora Noyes Slough Bridge and will be closing the road between Bridgewater & Willow Streets until October, 2023.

This closure will also impact those who use the slough.  During any in-water or over-water work the slough will be closed. Check 511.Alaska.gov for those updates.

And don’t forget to hit up our Open House for this project on Wednesday, March 22 from 4:30-6:30PM at the Randy Smith Middle School Commons!  Staff will be present and able to answer your questions.

Check out the project website here: https://dot.alaska.gov/nreg/aurora-bridge/

For MACS route detours and adjusted timetables call the bus transit center at 907.459.1010 Ext. 1 or visit:  https://www.fnsb.gov/…/Metropolitan-Area-Commuter
