There were 3,720 agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting businesses in the U.S. that had between five and nine employees in 2016, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

CBP data indicates that there are more establishments categorized as retail trade businesses with between five and nine employees in the U.S. than in any other category.

The following table shows how many agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting businesses with between five and nine employees were in the U.S. during the period from 2012 to 2016.
