There was a single gas station in cities across Southeast Fairbanks Census Area selling regular gas at the price of $3.93 per gallon in the week ending June 29, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
Of the 19 reported gas stations in cities within Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, just one offers regular gas.
The average reported price of regular gas in Alaska was $3.88, compared to $3.95 the week before.
Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
